This is a travelogue; starting in East Africa (Kenya, Egypt), and ending in North Africa (Libya and Malta). It will focus on urban environment of big cities as well as rural areas, and on refugee camps in particular. I will be exploring stories of people’s lives and hope the blog will reflect these narratives. It will enhance the stories I have collected from refugees, from the mentioned areas that are living in Teesside in the UK and help me understand their journey from East Africa.

Thank you...
I am grateful to the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust for this chance to experience new horizons. I am to follow in the footsteps of the great man as he also traveled the trajectory I am embarking on. It is in this spirit that I ask that anybody who takes a look at the blog, also have a look at the Trust fund's website on www.wcmt.org.uk. This makes for enjoyable reading.
